Only the universal sages of the past era, by the force of tantrism, have attained supreme dominance by showing supernatural power. Due to the Tantric Vidya, demon Rakshasraj Ravana and Meghnad, while fighting, marveled Lord Ramchandraji and Lakshmanji also, by the power of this Vidya, the demons became invisible when they fought in the battlefield and then often used to rake the Arms through the sky route. Meghnad used to worship this Vidya only when there was a terrible crisis that’s why he is called the Indrajeet. When Lakshman heard this from Vibhishan, himself destroyed the Havan with the Hanuman and other Monkeys. The remarkable influential experiments of many such techniques are found in the Valmiki Ramayana and Mahabharata Puranas, in addition to the Puranas, the ‘Atharva Veda’ is a testimony to the technique. तन्त्रशास्त्रोक्त क्रिया के बल से ही पूर्व काल के ब्राह्माण्ड ऋषियों ने अदभुत शक्ति दिखाकर सर्वोपरि प्रधानता प्राप्त की थी। तन्त्रविद्या के द्वारा ही राक्षसराज रावण और मेघनाद ने युद्ध करते समय भगवान् रामचन्द्रजी को एवं शेषावतार लक्ष्मणजी को भी अचम्भित कर दिया था, इसी विद्या के बल से राक्षस रणभूमि में युद्ध करते करते अदृश्य हो जाते और फिर सहसा आकाश मार्ग से शस्त्र बरसाते थे। जिस समय घोर संकट प्राप्त होता था तभी मेघनाद इस विद्या की आराधना किया करता था, तन्त्र बल से ही वह इन्द्रजीत कहलाया है, जिस समय इन्द्रजीत निकुंभिला नामक यज्ञ अपने देवालय में बैठ हवन कर रहा था तभी विभीषण ने आकर रामचन्द्र और लक्ष्मण से कहा कि हे भगवान्! मेघनाद का यह अनुष्ठान पुर्ण रीति से हो गया तो वह फिर मार से नहीं मरेगा इस कारण निकुंभिला नामक यज्ञ देवालय में इसके अनुष्ठान को भंग कीजिये। जब विभीषण से ऐसा सुना तब स्वयं लक्ष्मणजी ने हनुमानादी श्रेष्ठ बली वानरों को लेकर उसके प्रयोग में विघ्न डाल उसके हवन को नष्ट कर दिया। -Uddish Tantra Book.
इस प्रकार की अनेक तन्त्रविद्या के अनुपम प्रभावशाली प्रयोगों का वर्णन वाल्मीकीय रामायण और महाभारतादि पुराणों में पाया जाता है, पुराणों के अतिरिक्त स्वयं ‘अथर्ववेद’ तन्त्रविद्या का साक्षी स्वरूप है। उसमें तन्त्रविद्या के मारण मोहन वशीकरणादि प्रयोग वैदिक विधान से वर्णित हैं परन्तु समय के प्रभाव से इस विद्या की गति को मनुष्य भूल गये हैं और घृणा से इसकी ओर देखते हैं यही नहीं, वरन् इस विद्या को मूर्खो की माया कहते नहीं लजाते हैं, स्वयं वेद रूपी भगवान् जिसकी नीव हैं आज उस विद्या की हीन दशा दृष्टी आती है। कलियुगी जीव इस विद्या की सिद्धि कर सकते हैं, परन्तु जिस भांति करना चाहते हैं वैसे यह विद्या सिद्धि नहीं दे सकती, पृथ्वी निर्वीर्य नहीं हो सकती। आज के दिन भी पूर्ण विद्या से यदि अनुष्ठान किया जाय तो निःसंदेह सिद्धि हो सकती है। -Uddish Tantra Book.
