Different Yantras have associations with different deities and different Mantras have with them. All the five basic elements like earth, water, fire, air and sky are having associations with yantras. And through specific rituals one controls nature to get the desired benefits. Therefore, according to classical scriptures yantra is a science. That one can use through the five elements and chanting of mantras. Therefore, one can say that yantras and mantras complement each other.
