Ketu Stotra (केतु स्तोत्र) : Ketu Stotra has been taken from Skanda Purana! The South node or Ketu is regarded as a point of difficult Karma from a past life in which the individual furthered his own selfish interest at the expense of others. The South node, on the positive side, can develop strong concentration and mastery of obscure or arcane subjects. Ketu gives sudden and unexpected results for good or bad. On the spiritual front Ketu gives perception, liberation, wisdom and psychic sensitivity in a more genuine way.
Ketu is a shadow planet and son of sage Kashyapa and an ogre called Simihika. He was born with a serpent head. When Mohini (the feminine form of Lord Vishnu) was distributing the nectar to devas, Ketu entered the row and ate the nectar. The Sun and moon who saw this informed Lord Vishnu about this. Lord Vishnu cut him in to two pieces. The piece with the head is Rahu. The piece without head is Ketu. Both pieces continued to live and circle the earth in an anti clock wise manner. Ketu creates all the problems that are created by planet Mars.
Ketu as a planet can be both malefic and benefice. A good Ketu signifies sudden bursts of energy, liberation, discretion, idealism, compassion, self-sacrifice and spirituality. It is known as a great advisor and the lord of voyage. A weak Ketu may be harsh and cruel, and is known to take things away. Ketu Stotra indicates possible health problems as diseases of the spine and nervous system, wounds, injuries, obesity, knee problems, mental instability, and fatigue.

केतु: काल: कलयिता धूम्रकेतुर्विवर्णक:। लोककेतुर्महाकेतु: सर्वकेतुर्भयप्रद: ।।1।।
रौद्रो रूद्रप्रियो रूद्र: क्रूरकर्मा सुगन्ध्रक्। फलाशधूमसंकाशश्चित्रयज्ञोपवीतधृक् ।।2।।
तारागणविमर्दो च जैमिनेयो ग्रहाधिप:। पंचविंशति नामानि केतुर्य: सततं पठेत् ।।3।।
तस्य नश्यंति बाधाश्चसर्वा: केतुप्रसादत:। धनधान्यपशूनां च भवेद् व्रद्विर्नसंशय: ।।4।।
