Brihaspati Stotram, ब्रहस्पति स्तोत्र

Brihaspati Stotram/ब्रहस्पति स्तोत्र

Brihaspati Stotram (ब्रहस्पति स्तोत्र): Jupiter or Guru Brihaspati is a benevolent planet and disperses all positivity around it. Being the symbol of wisdom and prosperity, it bestows upon the devotees luck and good life. But at times, things go wrong. If the placement of Jupiter is not in the correct place in the horoscope chart, then Jupiter becomes harsh on that person and brings bad luck. In such a condition, Brihaspati would have a negative effect. The benevolent Brihaspati would be malefic and the wrath of Jupiter would make the life of the person worse.

Chanting Brihaspati Stotram is said to give several highly positive benefits to the devotees including physical and psychological well-being, self-confidence, and excellence in education, success in all endeavours, promotions in the workplace, prosperity and happiness. In the Navagrah, Brihaspati is shown to wear pitambara or yellow garb. Wearing yellow clothes is said to receive positive vibrations from the Jupiter planet.

Brihaspati is also known as Deva-guru (guru of the gods). Jupiter is a good indicator of fortune, wealth, fame, luck, devotion, wisdom, compassion, spirituality, religion and morality among other things. Jupiter rules stomach and liver. Jupiter or Brihaspati rules over the sidereal signs of Sagittarius and Pisces.

Brihaspati is preceptor for all the gods. He rides on Ayiravat, the white elephant with four tusks. Astronomically, Jupiter is the largest planet in the solar system and therefore duly finds its exalted position in astrology too.
