How many days is there in a year its well-know, that is three hundred and sixty-five days. According to the Solar Principle, the sun comes in its former state after 365.2587565 days, from which it travels for excursion. The yearly horoscope is first made to know the Varshfal. For making horoscope, birth year, birth date, birth place or birth horoscope and the effect of Sun sunlight and festivity are required during birth chart. जन्म कुंडली से सम्पूर्ण जीवन का शुभाशुभ फल जाना जाता है जबकि वर्ष कुंडली से सम्पूर्ण वर्ष का सूक्ष्म फल विचारा जाता है। वर्षफल विचार के ज्ञान को प्राप्त करके इसे व्यवहार में लायेंगे तो वर्ष भर का शुभाशुभ फल जानकर सफलता, उन्नति और यश की प्राप्ति कर सकेंगे। एक वर्ष में कितने दिन होते हैं। यह तो अच्छी तरह जानते है-तीन सौ पैसठ।
सूर्य सिद्धान्त के अनुसार सूर्य 365.2587565 दिन में अपनी पूर्व स्थिति में आ जाता है जहां से वह भ्रमण के लिए चलता है। इस प्रकार यह कालमान सूर्य का भ्रमण समय ही है जिसमें वह पूर्ण राशिचक्र की यात्रा करता है। वर्षफल जानने के लिए सर्वप्रथम वर्षकुंडली बनाई जाती है।
वर्ष कुंडली बनाने के लिए जन्मसमय, जन्मतिथि, जन्म स्थान या जन्म कुंडली और जन्म कालीन इष्ट सूर्य स्पष्ट एवं इष्टकाल की आवश्यकता पडती है। वर्ष कुंडली वर्ष प्रवेश के समय पर बनाई जाती है। जन्म का इष्टकालीन सूर्य जिस समय अगले वर्ष उसी स्थिति में आता है, उसे वर्ष प्रवेश का समय कहते हैं।
वर्ष कुंडली से वर्षफल ज्ञात किया जाता है जिसको जानने का तरीका भी समझाया गया है। इसी प्रकार मास प्रवेश का समय ज्ञात करके मास कुंडली और दिन कुंडली भी बनाकर मासिक और दैनिक फलादेश भी ज्ञात कर सकते हैं। वर्षफल-पद्धति’ ताजिक शास्त्र की देन है। इस शास्त्र का प्रचार भारत में यवनों के संपर्क से हुआ है।
यह सब उन्होंने इसलिए किया क्योंकि उनको जन्मपत्री की लम्बी और जटिल प्रक्रिया नहीं भायी तो उन्होंने वर्षफल-पद्धति को प्रश्रय दिया? ताजिक से तात्पर्य अश्व से है और यह माना जाता है कि इस पद्धति द्वारा अश्व तुल्य गति सदृश फल ज्ञात किया जा सकता है। जन्मकुंडली की तरह ही वर्षकुंडली द्वारा भी फल विचारते हैं।
