Shri Deenbandhu Ashtakam, श्री दीनबन्धु अष्टकम्

Shri Deenbandhu Ashtakam/श्री दीनबन्धु अष्टकम्

Shri Deenbandhu Ashtakam (श्री दीनबन्धु अष्टकम्): By regular recitation of Shri Deenbandhu Ashtakam, all the sadness, poverty etc. are redressed. I and happiness are the realizations of Aishwarya. I started Shri Deenbandhu Ashtakam with the Panchami of any Shukla Party and then the next Shukla Party Every morning, four beads should be lit by burning the lamp from Tulsi’s garland till the fifth time.

Deenbandhu is the octagon who defeats the humility of the poor the text of this psyche begins with the burning of “if” every morning from the tail of the basil till the beginning of the next moonlit fortnight from the beginning of any moonlit fortnight. Giving all the misery, poverty, gives every kind of happiness wealth, wealth.

Shri Deenbandhu Ashtakam it is stated will be of help to those who have performed prapatti and become prapannas, and also to those who desire to become prapannas. The “tvara” of the Lord to protect those in distress, i.e., the avidity and the hurry finds mention in the first and last slokas.

In this Ashtakam, the composer reminds us of Bhagavan’s Aishwarya, moksha-pradatwa, etc., and urges us to resort to Him and no one else as the sure way to attain moksha. This is another Ashtakam in which he conveys the basics of complete self-surrender (prapatti) and its efficacy in very crisp terms in the short span of eight Sloka-s.

In the first Sloka, the composer compares our lives to one being attacked and torn apart by our senses and dragged towards them on all sides as if by vicious crocodiles, and invokes Bhagavan’s mercy and protection.

In the second Sloka, he points out the need for us to realize our always being His dependent, and recognize our lack of independence from Him. As we may recall, this is one of the anga-s of prapatti –karpanya. When we observe the anga-s of prapatti, Bhagavan gives us the desire to seek His feet single-mindedly as the next step in attaining Him.

In the third Sloka, the composer praises Bhagavan’s greatness of mixing with even the lowliest of beings with ease. We all can recall His greeting with all the intimacy that one can imagine, doing paada-puja for him with Mahalakshmi holding the pot of water, and then sprinkling the water from the paada-puja on His head and that of Mahalakshmi.

Hence in every Sloka, there is a praise of greatness of the Deenbandhu. And effects of reciting are described.
