Place 10 betel nuts in the form of ten Mahavidyas around the Gutika. Apply vermilion tilak on each betel nut. Light a lamp of pure ghee in front of you, offer red flowers, fruits, incense and worship Maa Saraswati, after worship chant the following mantra 11 rosary using Durga Mala or White Hakik Mala. After this, you can wear Saraswati Gutika. From the next day, chant 3 rosary Saraswati Mantra for 21 days.

नवरात्रि, गुप्त नवरात्रि, दिवाली, होली या किसी भी सोमवार को स्नान आदि करके रात्रि के समय 9 बजे से 11 बजे के बीच, सफ़ेद ऊनी आसन पर पूर्व दिशा की तरफ मुख करके या फिर आपका मंदिर जिस दिशा की तरफ हो, बैठ जाए৷ माँ दुर्गा के सामने, एक थाली के बीच सिंदूर से त्रिकोण (जिसमे कोण नीचें की तरफ हो) बनाकर उसमें, बिना टूटे चावल (अक्षत) रखें, उन चावलों पर सरस्वती गुटिका को स्थापित करें৷ गुटिका के चारों तरफ दस महाविद्या स्वरूप 10 सुपारी रखें, प्रत्येक सुपारी पर सिंदूर से तिलक करें৷ सामने शुद्ध घी का दीपक जलाकर, लाल फूल, फल, धूप-दीप देकर माँ सरस्वती का पूजन करें, पूजन के बाद निम्नलिखित मन्त्र का 11 माला का जाप दुर्गा माला या सफ़ेद हकिक माला सें करे৷ इसके बाद सरस्वती गुटिका को धारण कर सकते है৷ दूसरें दिन से सरस्वती मन्त्र की 3 माला का जाप 21 दिनों तक करें৷
