Bhut Vidya Book
Bhut Vidya Book (भुत विद्या पुस्तक): Bhut Vidya, or Graha Chikitsa, is a branch of Ayurvedic medicine. It is used for the diagnosis of diseases caused by unknown factors. It is mainly employed to correct mental disorders in humans. In modern terminology, it is considered a psychosomatic illness where the exact cause of the disease is unknown. In reality, Bhut Chikitsa is the eighth limb of Ashtanga Ayurveda. Here, Bhut does not refer to ghosts or spirits but to the five elements (Panch Maha Bhoot)—fire, earth, air, water, and the fifth element, space.
Any imbalance in one of these five elements can lead to physical and mental illnesses. This holistic approach emphasizes the importance of maintaining harmony among these elements to promote overall well-being. By addressing both the physical and psychological aspects of health, Bhut Chikitsa seeks to restore balance and facilitate healing in individuals suffering from various disorders.
This practice encourages individuals to engage in lifestyle changes, dietary adjustments, and mindfulness techniques that align with the principles of the five elements. By fostering a deeper connection with nature and one’s own body, Bhut Chikitsa aims to empower individuals to take charge of their health and cultivate a state of equilibrium.
