यहाँ यह प्रश्न उपस्थित होता है कि श्री गोरखनाथ जी राजा भर्तृहरि के गुरु थे৷ यह विषय निर्विवाद है৷ अतः वे श्री कबीर स्वामी से लगभग पन्द्रह सौ वर्ष पूर्व हो गये, तो अभी श्री कबीर स्वामी के समय में श्रीगोरखनाथ जी का होना सर्वथा असंभव होने से सतगुरु के साथ श्री गोरख नाथजी के सतसंग का प्रसंग आरम्भ करना सर्वथा असंगत प्रतीत होता है৷ इस प्रश्न का उत्तर यह है कि सिद्धों में श्री गोरखनाथ जी प्रसिद्ध थे৷
