आदिशक्ति जगत जननी मां जगदंबा विभिन्न रूपों में से एक अन्नपूर्णा रूप भी हैं जिन्हें अन्न की देवी माना जाता है। शास्त्रों में भी अन्न की इस देवी का विस्तार से वर्णन किया गया है। यदि इनकी कृपा हो तो कोई भी कभी भूखा नहीं सोता है। परंतु देवी की कृपा न हो तो कहा जाता है कि कितना ही धन आपके पास क्यों न हो आपको दो वक्त की रोटी सुख से नहीं मिलेगी।
