16 Sanskar Book (16 संस्कार पुस्तक): In our religious scriptures, the explanation of the sixteen main sacraments is given. Among these, the first sacrament is Garbhadhan and the last sacrament after death is Antyeshti. After Garbhadhan, there are the ceremonies of Pumsavan, Seemantonnayan, Jatakarma, and Namkaran which are performed to establish a connection with the divine world for the newborn. After Namkaran, there are the ceremonies of Chudakarma and Yajnopavita. Then comes the marriage ceremony. This is the most important sacrament of married life. The sacraments from Garbhadhan to Vidhyarambh are also known as Garbh Sanskar. The first three (Garbhadhan, Pumsavan, Seemantonnayan) are known as Antar Garbh Sanskar and the subsequent six are known as Bahir Garbh Sanskar. Garbh Sanskar is also known as Dosh Marjan or Cleansing Ceremony.
