Bagdawat Bharat Devnarayan ki Katha Book
Bagdawat Bharat Devnarayan ki Katha Book (बगडावत भारत देवनारायण की कथा पुस्तक): Once, while herding cows, Sawai Bhoj noticed a cow that joined their herd daily but separated from them in the evening when they returned. Observing this, he tells his brother Niyaji to follow this cow and find out who it belongs to and where it comes from. He instructs Niyaji to bring back the payment for the cowherd from its owner.
Thereafter, Niyaji follows the cow, which leads him into a cave. There, Niyaji finds a sage (Baba Rupnathji) meditating by a sacred fire. Moreover, Niyaji asks the sage if the cow belongs to him. The sage replies, “Yes, the cow is indeed ours.” Niyaji then states that he must pay for its care since it comes to graze with their herd daily. The sage responds, “Spread out your bag.” Niyaji lays his blanket bag open, and Baba Rupnathji takes a handful of sacred ash from the fire and pours it into Niyaji’s bag.
