परन्तु उतना रम्य नहीं है जितना होना चाहिए, छन्दो व्याकरणादि दोषों से भरे हैं। इसलिए संक्षेप में इस ग्रन्थ में विवरण दिया गया है। केरल रहस्य वह तत्व है जो श्रुति तत्व है जो बौद्धादिक और यवनादिक को नहीं दिया जाता है। इस रहस्य तत्व को दुर्वीनित और नास्तिक को या जो वेद देवता और ब्राह्मण की निन्दा करे उसको और खल को प्रकाश नहीं करना होता है |
इसको गुप्त रखना होता है। गुरु भक्तों और देवता ब्राह्मण के पूजक को, ब्रह्म ज्ञानी, नारायण और अक्षर ब्रह्मा के जानकार और वेद के जानकार, ऐसे द्विजपुंगव को प्रश्न देने से पण्डित वांछित धर्म अर्थ को प्राप्त होता है। बार-बार प्रश्न नहीं करना, सभा के बीच में प्रश्न नहीं करना, कुत्सित भूमि में प्रश्न न करना |
वर्णों से उच्चारण ऐसा करे कि जिसमे विवर्त माने वर्ण का मुख से उच्चारण न हो, ऐसे लोगों को देने से धर्म का काम होता है। जिनका मुख बद्ध रहता है और श्वेताम्बर धारण किये हुए है ऐसे नास्तिक को, कुब्ज को, अंधे को इन सर्व जनों को छोड़ करके पण्डित को प्रश्न करे, और प्रश्नकर्ता के उच्चारित वर्णों पर दृष्टि रखे। अवर्गादि अष्टवर्ग के मध्य में जो विषय वर्ग है, उनको उत्तर संज्ञा कही है। और सम वर्गों को अधर संज्ञा कही है।
उत्तर वर्गों के मध्य में जो विषम है, उनकी उत्तरोत्तर संज्ञा कही है। अधर वर्गों के बीच में सम है उनकी अधराधर संज्ञा कही है जो चक्र में लिखा है। यह पुस्तक को पढ़ने से केरल शास्त्र का ज्ञान होता है एवं कैसा और किससे प्रश्न और कहाँ प्रश्न करना चाहिए इसका भी पूरा उल्लेख इस पुस्तक में दिया हुआ है।
