Cheiro acquired his expertise in India. At a young age, he went to the Apollo Bunder port of Bombay where he met his guru, an Indian Chit Pawan Brahmin. He took him to his village in the Konkan where he studied ancient books on hands and hand reading. After studying palmistry for more than two years, he returned to England and began practicing palmistry in London. Soon he had a large circle of famous clients from around the world.
