गरुड़ वृक्ष (Garud Tree Benefits) एक विशाल जाति का वृक्ष होता है। यह मध्यप्रदेश, गुजरात, राजस्थान, हिमाचल, केरल, तमिलनाडु इत्यादि राज्यों में पहाड़ी इलाकों के घने जंगलों में कहीं-कहीं पाया जाता है। यह वृक्ष पर्याप्त ऊँचा होता है, इसका तना कठोर लकड़ी वाला होता है। तने पर कुछ ऊपर की ओर से शाखायें निकलती हैं। पत्तियाँ संयुक्त प्रकार की होती हैं। एक डण्डी पर 3 पत्तियाँ लगी होती हैं जैसे कि बेल पत्र लगे होते हैं। पुष्प ऊपर से छितरे-छितरे दलपत्र वाले घण्टी के आकार के होते हैं। इसकी फली जो कि फल होती हैं, एक मीटर या उससे कुछ अधिक तक लम्बी होती है।

यह सर्प के समान कुछ चपटी होती है। फली को चीरने पर इसमें गांठेदार सफेद हड्डी जैसा गूदा होता है। बीजों के ऊपर एक हल्की पारदर्शक पर्त चढ़ी होती है जो कि सर्प की केचुली के समान होती है। फली का रंग हल्का चाकलेटी होता है। इसकी लकड़ी में यह विशेषता है कि यदि सर्प के मुंह के पास इसे रख दें, तो सर्प अपने मुँह को पृथ्वी पर रख देता है, वह चुपचाप बिना किसी हलचल के सुस्त पड़ा रहता है। जहाँ-जहाँ भी यह गरुड़ वृक्ष होता है, वहाँ 100 -100 मीटर तक सर्प नहीं ठहरता है। यदि वह गलती से इस वृक्ष के नीचे पहुँच जाता है तो निश्चय ही उसकी मृत्यु हो जाती है।
