Kaila Brass Mata Statue

Kaila Brass Mata Statue/Kaila Maa Murti (कैला माता मूर्ति): Kaila Devi is the manifestation of Maha Maya. Born to Nanda and Yasoda, she was replaced by Krishna born to Devaki and Vasudeva. The detail of her is available in the 65th chapter of the Skanda Purana. She stated that she will be famous as “Kaila” in Kaliyuga. The Vedas declare that worshiping Her immediately brings blessings. People worship her as Vindhya Vasini also. The Lalita Saharsranama stotram calls Her Vindhyachala Nivasini. The verse in the Lalita nama stotram reads: “Viswaadhikaa Veda vedyaa, Vindhyachala Nivasini”. (Kaila Brass Mata Statue)

Legend

The description of Kaila Devi Ji one can find in Skanda Purana 65th Adhyaya. In where the goddess declared that in Kaliyuga she will have a name as “Kaila” and her devotees will worship her as Kaileshwari. However, this is also from the Padma Purana. Besides, the Vedas say that in Kalyug, worshiping Kaila Devi will give instant fulfillment. For instance, the Karauli Kings have always had a deep connection with the temple. There is a temple in Karauli state. This Kaila Maa Murti is of Goddess Kaila Devi who is the tutelary deity of the rulers of the (Jadaun) Rajput/Kirar/Banjara community.

People now worship her as Kaila Devi and as Vindhya Vasini and Hinglaj Mata in other places. The arrival of the goddess image in this destination is a fascinating story. A Yogi baba carried the statue on a bullock cart and fled from Nagarkot to protect it. Meanwhile, Kaila Devi appeared to sage Kedargiri and assured him that she would come to the people of the area. However, Yogi’s only bull stopped at the central part of the hill in the middle of the dense forest and refused to budge. Based on the divine ceremony, the establishment is done at that very place.

Kaila Brass Mata Statue Establishment:

For instance, The foundation of the temple was laid by Maharaja Gopal Singh in 1723. The completion of the work was in 1730. He also set up a statue of Chamunda brought from Gagraun Fort in 1150 by the Khinchi ruler Mukund Das. Arjun Pal Ji built a large Kund which still exists today. However, it is one of the first large-scale man-made water sources in the area.

In 1927, Maharaja Bhom Pal improved the roads and built a power station. In 1947, Maharaja Ganesh Pal had the interior and exterior of the temple reconstructed in marble. However, the present Maharaja, Krishna Chandra Pal Ji, also made some radical improvements and added some modern facilities. Setting up a Kaila Brass Mata statue in the house brings good luck and providence to the house.
