Durga Havan Samagri/Durga Puja Hawan Samagri (दुर्गा हवन सामग्री): There is a system in our scripture. According to that on the ninth day of Navratri, the seeker has to perform Havan after worshiping Goddess Durga. It has been said in the scriptures that the god Agni, in whose name the Havan is held, gives his portion to the deity given in the Havan. Satisfied with Havan, the deities fulfill the wishes of the devotees. Satisfied with Havan, the deities fulfill the wishes of the devotees. Not only that, wherever people perform Havan, the area around it, if the smoke from the Havan gets out, becomes pure and holy. Hence in ancient times sages regularly performed Hawan with Durga Havan Samagri.
In Havan, people mix incense, barley, coconut, guggul, makhana, cashew, raisins, date palm, groundnut, belpatra, honey, ghee, and fragrance. Putting it all together to create havishya. Havishya is the one put in the fire by the seeker during Havan. Cotton, mango wood, sandalwood, camphor, and matches are there to light the fire for Havan. Durga Hawan Samagri is especially for use in Durga Hawan. After lighting a fire in Havan Kund, offering fruits, honey, ghee, wood, Durga Puja Hawan Samagri, etc. Moreover, this is prominent in this holy fire. It is a belief that if you are under the influence of any evil spirit around you, the Havan process will rid you of it. People also perform Havan for happiness, health, prosperity, etc.
