Vivah Paddhti Book Description:
A marriage is not complete even after Kanyadaan until unless Saptapadi performance is not done. The Saptapadi contains Seven promises which the bride has to vow before the groom. In these vows the bride has to say that she is ready to accept him as husband if, whatever is in the store are kept, it has for her grace and others are all as such (Vivah Paddhti Pushtak).
