Kabir Vani Book
Kabir Vani Book (कबीर वाणी पुस्तक): Kabir has a distinctive contribution to the field of North Indian spirituality and literature compared to other Hindi poets. There are two principal sources of Indian philosophy, the Vedic or Brahminic stream and the anti-Vedic or wandering stream. Even at the peak of the creation of the Vedas, some did not consider the Vedas to be authoritative. That was in any aspect of their culture.
Later, Buddhism and Jainism emerged from this same stream, whose philosophical foundation is atheistic. Among the predecessors of Kabir from this anti-Vedic stream was Gorakhnath, who for the first time attempted to incorporate some elements of the Shaivite tantric ideology, bringing morality and belief into it. But, he was predominantly influenced by yogic philosophy.
There is more discussion of dull and austere yoga in his literature and sect. Nevertheless, his significance lies in the fact that he vehemently criticized external rituals, idol worship, and casteism. With more enthusiasm than all his predecessors, he also instilled an unbreakable devotion to his Ram. This is not in his predecessor Gorakhnath, who was the earliest theistic Hindi poet from the anti-Vedic stream.
