परमात्मा सर्वत्र व्याप्त है वो बिना भक्ति या आस्था के केवल आँखों से नहीं दीखते, विचार से समझ में आते हैं तथा भक्ति से दीखते हैं। जैसे फूल मे सुगंध खोज लेते हैं वैसे ही भक्त भगवान् का रूप भक्ति से हर जगह देखते हैं। यदि तुम्हारे मन में विश्वास है तो उसी विश्वास की मूर्ति में या भक्ति करने से भगवान् अवश्य प्रकट होते है। मन में आस्था द्वारा भगवत भक्ति को स्थान देकर उसे भजने का नाम ही भजन है। भजन करने व पढ़ने से भक्ति के भाव जागते हैं और आस्था प्रकट होती है। जिस प्रकार सत्संग से ज्ञान की प्राप्ति होती है उसी प्रकार भजन करने से मन की शुद्धि होती है। मन का मैल धुल जाता है।

भजन की भी कई विधियाँ हैं, जैसे एकांत में ईश्वर का स्मरण करना, किसी आराध्य देव के लिए मंत्र का उच्चारण करना या काव्य के रूप में गाकर तन्मयता से उस प्रभु का गुणगान करना, जिसकी कृपा से हमें यह देव दुर्लभ शरीर प्राप्त हुआ है। प्रस्तुत भजन माला में मैंने अंतिम उपाय ही अपनाने का प्रयास किया है। हमारी संस्कृति हठी न होने के कारण अनेक देवी-देवताओं की उपासक रही है। मैंने इसी संदर्भ में भजन लिखे हैं कि पाठक अपनी आस्था के अनुसार गायें। यदि ये भजन पाठकों के मन को उस परम पिता की ओर अधिक प्रेम जगाने में सफल हुए तो ये प्रयास सफल है।
