राजपूताना प्रान्त में जिस प्रकार शांति पुष्टयादि में ग्रहशांति का अधिक प्रचार है उसी प्रकार मालवा, बराड आदि में ‘वासिष्ठी हवन पद्धति’ का विशेष प्रचार है। इस लिए अनेक कर्मकाण्ड के ग्रन्थों के आधार से सप्रमाण यह वासिष्ठी हवन पद्धति सुंदर बड़े टाईप में उद्घृत की है।
किन्तु अबतक यह मुल्मात्र थी जिससे सर्व साधारण कर्मकाण्डी काम करते हुए कई जगह अटक जाते थे, अतएव अब उनके उपकार के निमित इसकी इतिकर्तव्यता सरल हिन्दी भाषा में की गई, जिससे अब साधारण से साधारण कर्मकाण्डी भी अपना कार्य सहज ही में चला सकते हैं।
तथापि जहां कहीं कुछ विशेष कठिनता प्रतीत हुई वहां उसे विस्तार से बतला दी है और कौन से काम किस किस प्रकार करना चाहिये यह सुगमता से समझा देने की ओर भी विशेष ध्यान दिया गया है। ऐसी सरल करने से अब कोई त्रुटि अथवा शंका रहने का संभव ही नहीं रहा। यह एक धारा है जिसे अपना कर साधक आसानी से कार्य सिद्धि कर सकता है।
