Bhakti Vedanta Books was established in 1970 by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. He is the founder-Acharya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness. (1896–1977).

Srila Prabhupada– as he is famous among his followers– translated and commented on more than eighty volumes of the most important sacred devotional texts of the Vedas. However, that includes the Bhagavad Gita. Besides, Krishna’s concise tutorial on attaining perfection in life and the multi-volume Shrimad Contains Bhagavatam.

As a matter of fact, he formed the Bhaktivedanta Book Trust as the exclusive publisher of all literature containing his teachings, writings, and lectures.

The income from the sale of his books he divided equally for printing new books. Besides, establishing temples-centres of spiritual education and culture.

Bhaktivedanta Swami translated more than 60 volumes. He translated the Vedic scriptures – Bhagavad Gita, Bhagavad Gita As It Is, and Shri Madbhagwat Geeta into English. They translated these books into more than 80 languages. They are distributing those books all over the world.

भक्ति वेदांत बुक्स की स्थापना 1970 में इंटरनेशनल सोसाइटी फॉर कृष्णा कॉन्शसनेस के संस्थापक-आचार्य, उनके दिव्य अनुग्रह ए.सी. भक्तिवेदांत स्वामी प्रभुपाद (1896-1977) द्वारा की गई थी।

भक्तिवेदांत स्वामी ने 60 से अधिक संस्करणों का अनुवाद किया। वैदिक शास्त्रों – भगवद गीता, भगवत गीता यथारूप और श्रीमद्भगवत गीता  का अंग्रेजी भाषा में अनुवाद किया। इन पुस्तकों का अनुवाद 80 से अधिक भाषाओँ में हो चूका है और दुनिया भर में इन पुस्तकों का वितरण हो रहा है ।
