कुत्ता जानवरों के शकुन-अपशकुन: शकुन के लिए कुत्ता एक विशिष्ट प्राणी माना गया है। मध्य और उच्च वर्ग में कुत्ते पालने का बहुत प्रचलन है। पुलिस विभाग भी अपराधियों की खोज में कुत्तों की मदद लेते हैं। कुत्ते के बारे में आम धारणा है कि इसकी उपस्थिति में अला-बला कोई रोग नहीं फैलती। माना जाता है कि यदि केतु अशुभ हो तो कुत्ते के उपाय से लाभ होता हैं।
खरगोश जानवरों के शकुन-अपशकुन:
किसी भी कार्य के लिए खरगोश का शकुन भय कारक होता है। कहीं आते-जाते समय खरगोश का दिखना हानिप्रद माना जाता है। यदि खरगोश ऊपर से नीचे की ओर आता दिखाई पड़े तो यह अपमान का और यदि नीचे से ऊपर की ओर जाता दिखाई पड़े तो दु:ख की सूचना देता है। वैसे शहरों में खरगोश न के बराबर दिखाई पड़ते हैं, लेकिन गांवो में अब भी खरगोश को लेकर यही विश्वास प्रचलित हैं।
गाय जानवरों के शकुन-अपशकुन:
गाय को भारतीय समाज में एक पौराणिक महत्व का पशु माना गया है। प्राचीन समय से ही मान्यता रही है कि गाय में 33 करोड़ देवता निवास करते हैं। श्रीकृष्ण लीला में गाय महत्व रखती है तो पूजा कार्य के लिए गऊ पूजन सर्वोपरि पूजन माना गया है। ऐसी मान्यता है कि जिस द्वार पर गाय बंधी होती है, उस द्वार में निवास करने वाले की सर्वत्र जय होती है। गाय का दान भी महादान माना गया है।
प्राचीन समय में ऋषि-मुनि राजा-महाराजाओं से गौ दान ही लिया करते थे। गाय की सेवा करने से स्वर्ग की प्राप्ति होती है। इसलिए प्रत्येक स्थिति में गाय का शकुन लाभदायक एवं पवित्र माना गया है। यदि किसी के दरवाजे पर गाय झुण्ड लगाकर बैठना प्रारंभ कर दें तो यह उस घर के निवासियों की प्रगति का सूचक होता है। लेकिन यदि किसी भी कार्य को प्रारंभ करते समय या किसी कार्य हेतु प्रस्थान करते समय गाय छींक मार दे तो यह अपशकुन माना जाता है।
गधा-गधी जानवरों के शकुन-अपशकुन:
यदि कोई व्यक्ति गधा-गधी को संभोगरत देख ले तो उसे अपनी इच्छानुसार कार्य फल प्राप्त होता है।
चींटियों का झुंड जानवरों के शकुन-अपशकुन:
यदि कभी चींटियां आगे-पीछे ऊपर को जाती दिखाई पड़ें तो यह भारी वर्षा का संकेत माना जाता है।
छिपकली जानवरों के शकुन-अपशकुन:
आमतौर पर घरों में पाये जाने वाले इस जीव का शकुन के मामले में अपना विशेष महत्व है। अनुभवों ने इसके शकुनों और संदेशो को अक्सर सही साबित किया है। सर्वप्रथम हम छिपकली के शरीर के विभिन्न अंगों पर गिरने के क्या अर्थ होते हैं, इस पर विचार करेंगे।
सिर पर :
यदि किसी व्यक्ति के सिर पर छिपकली गिरती है तो माना जाता है कि उस व्यक्ति को समाज में प्रतिष्ठा प्राप्त होती है। लेकिन यदि छिपकली सिर के ठीक बीचों-बीच गिरती है तो इससे प्रतिष्ठा तो प्राप्त होती है, लेकिन स्वास्थ्य पर इसका बुरा असर पड़ सकता है।
ललाट पर:
ललाट पर छिपकली का गिरना शुभ माना जाता है। इससे सगे-सबंधियों से संपर्क होता है।
नाक पर:
छिपकली का नाक की नोक पर गिरना अशुभ माना जाता है और शेष नाक पर गिरना शुभ।
गाल पर:
बायें गाल पर छिपकली का गिरना प्राय: अशुभ माना जाता है।
गर्दन पर:
यदि किसी व्यक्ति की गर्दन पर छिपकली गिरे तो उसके शत्रुओं को हानि होती है।
कंधे पर:
यदि छिपकली किसी व्यक्ति के दायें कंधे पर गिरती है तो उसे राज्य द्वारा सम्मानित किया जाता है और उसके द्वारा किये जा रहे कार्य सफल होते हैं। लेकिन यदि छिपकली बायें कंधे पर गिरती है तो परिणाम इसके विपरीत होते हैं।
कनपटी पर:
कनपटी पर छिपकली गिरना व्यक्ति के शुभचिंतकों के लिए नुकसानदायक होता है।
कान पर:
कान पर छिपकली का गिरना प्राय: शुभ माना जाता है।
पीठ पर:
इस जीव का पीठ की हड्डी पर गिरना भय का प्रतीक है।
पेट पर:
यदि छिपकली पेट पर गिरती है तो इससे सुख सौभाग्य में वृद्धि होती है।
नाभि पर:
नाभि पर छिपकली का गिरना दुर्दिनों की समाप्ति की घोषणा करता है।
जांघ पर:
बायीं जांघ पर यदि छिपकली गिरे तो यह विजय का प्रतीक माना जाता है जबकि दाहिनी जांघ पर इसका गिरना अशुभ माना जाता है।
हाथ पर:
हाथ या हथेली पर छिपकली का गिरना शुभ होता है।
गुदा पर:
शरीर के इस हिस्से पर छिपकली का गिरना शुभाशुभ कराता है।
स्त्री के स्तन पर:
- यदि किसी स्त्री के स्तनों पर छिपकली गिरे तो उस स्त्री को पुत्र की प्राप्ति होती है और अन्य लाभ भी होते हैं। छिपकली को लेकर समाज में निम्न मान्यताएं भी प्रचलित हैं
- छिपकली यदि किसी व्यक्ति के शरीर पर नीचे से ऊपर की ओर चढ़ती है तो यह शुभ होता है और यदि ऊपर से नीचे की ओर उतरे तो अशुभ होता है।
- खाना खाते समय छिपकली का बोलना शुभ माना गया है।
- यदि छिपकली छिपकली से झगड़ रही तो घर में झगड़ा होता है।
- यदि दो छिपकलियां आपस में क्रीड़ा कर रही हों तो समय आनन्द से गुजरता है। प्रस्थान करते समय छिपकली आगे, दायें, बायें, बोले तो शुभ फल देती है तथा पीछे से स्वर का उच्चारण सुनाई दे तो कार्य में विघ्न पैदा होता है। स्नान करते समय या उसके बाद वस्त्र पहनते समय छिपकली बोले तो शुभ फल देती है तथा पीछे से स्वर का उच्चारण सुनाई दे तो कार्य में विघ्न पैदा होता है। स्नान करते समय या उसके बाद वस्त्र पहनते समय छिपकली बोले तो प्रेम-प्रसंग शुरू होने की संभावना होती है। श्रृंगार करते समय इस जीव के बोलने से वशीकरण होता है। छिपकली का पुरुष के दाहिने भाग पर तथा स्त्री के बायें भाग पर गिरना प्राय: शुभ माना गया है।
