It is also said that in Europe while going for a trip, they hold a black cat and crosses their path by the cat. They also believe that if black cat enters your house, it is auspicious. But killing cat is too ominous. It is believed that if the blood of its tail is put to an injury, it cures soon.

बिल्ली जानवरों के शकुन: पुरे देश में बिल्ली के अपशकुनों से शायद ही कोई व्यक्ति ऐसा हो जो वाकिफ न हो। इसके दर्शन या इसकी आवाज को ही अपशकुन माना गया है। कहीं पर जाते समय यदि बिल्ली रास्ता काट दे तो प्राचीन समय से ही यह माना जाता है कि यह अशुभ ही होता है। इससे हम सभी लोग परिचित हैं। लेकिन बिल्ली को लेकर कुछ और अंध-विश्वास भी समाज में प्रचलित हैं, जो इस प्रकार हैं। —
- यदि बिल्ली किसी का पांव सूंघे तो यह अशुभ रहता है।
- यदि सोते समय किसी व्यक्ति के ऊपर बिल्ली गिर पड़े तो शास्त्रों के अनुसार मृत्यु भयकारक होती है।
- प्रस्थान करते समय यदि बिल्ली मुंह में मांस का टुकड़ा लेकर जाती दिखाई दे तो शुभ माना जाता है।
- बिल्ली किसी स्त्री के सिर पर पंजा मार दे तो उसके नाती-पोतों को संकट होता है।
- बिल्ली का रोना शुभ नहीं माना जाता है।
- बिल्ली का झगड़ना अशुभ माना जाता है।
- यदि बिल्ली केवल बायीं ओर दिखाई दे तो शुभ माना जाता है।
- घर में बिल्ली का बच्चे देना शुभ माना जाता है।
- बिल्ली का पालना शुभ नहीं होता।
- काली बिल्ली अत्यन्त अशुभ मानी गयी है।
- बिल्ली का छींकना अशुभ माना गया है।
- मजेदार बात है कि दिवाली को रात में बिल्ली का आना धन प्राप्ति का सूचक माना गया है ऐसी मान्यता है कि दिवाली के दिन-रात में यदि बिल्ली किसी के घर से दूध पीती है, तो उस घर में लक्ष्मी आती है। यही वजह है कि दिवाली पर आज भी बहुत से लोग रात में बिल्ली के आने के लिए दरवाजे खुले छोड़कर सोते हैं।
नेवला जानवरों के शकुन:
प्राचीन काल से यह मान्यता चली आ रही है कि यात्रा के शकुन के रूप में नेवले के दर्शन शुभ होते हैं।
बकरी जानवरों के शकुन:
इस दुधारू पशु के दर्शन कही जाते समय, कुछ करते समय या निवास के समय शुभ माने गये हैं।
बकरा जानवरों के शकुन:
स्वप्न में यदि इस पशु के दर्शन हों तो धन प्राप्त होता है। स्वप्न में जो भी क्रिया की जा रही हो और बकरा जानवरों के शकुन के रूप में दिखे तो दिन में भी वही क्रिया करके लाभ उठाया जा सकता है।
भैंस जानवरों के शकुन:
किसी भी कार्यवश जाते समय प्रारंभ में यदि भैंस दिखाई दे तो कार्य पूर्ण हो जाता है। लेकिन भैंस को शकुन के रूप में अशुभ माना गया है।
मकड़ी जानवरों के शकुन:
किसी भी कार्य के प्रारंभ में मकड़ी या उसका जाल देखना अशुभ माना गया है। कई बार मकड़ी या उसका जाला दिखाई नहीं देता पर कहीं से जाल लिपट जाता है तो यह भी उचित नहीं माना जाता है।
मुर्गा जानवरों के शकुन:
- प्रात:काल मुर्गे का बोलना शुभ माना गया है।
- यात्रा के लिए प्रस्थान करते समय यदि मुर्गा ऊंचे स्वर में बोले तो यात्रा में सफलता मिलती है।
- इस जीव का दाहिनी ओर से बोलना विशेष शुभ माना गया है।
- रात्रि में भी मुर्गे का बोलना शुभ माना गया है।
- यह जीव दिन में लगातार या रुक-रुक कर बोले तो यह अपने स्वामी पर आने वाली विपत्ति की सूचना देता है।
हाथी जानवरों के शकुन:
यदि किसी भी यात्रा के समय, युद्ध के प्रारंभ में, शादी हेतु, नौकरी हेतु अर्थात् सभी कार्यों में प्रस्थान करते समय हाथी को अगर प्रांरभ में ही देखा जाये तो सभी विघ्नों का नाश हो जाता है और उन कार्यों में पूर्ण सफलता मिलती है। जानवरों के शकुन

यात्रा के समय या प्रात:काल दायें या बायें यदि हिरण मिल जाये तो अत्यंत लाभदायक होता है। इस शकुन के कारण धन की प्राप्ति होती है। शहरों में इसके दर्शन लगभग दुर्लभ हैं, फिर भी इसे सौभाग्यशाली माना गया है।
सारस जानवरों के शकुन:
प्राय: सारस पक्षी अकेला नहीं रहता, लेकिन यदि इसके अकेले के दर्शन हों तो यह वियोग का संकेत होता है। अन्यथा इसके जोड़े के रूप में, प्राय: हर स्थिति में हर समय, यह शुभ माना गया है।
सूअर जानवरों के शकुन:
गीले कीचड़ से लथपथ स्थिति में यदि सूअर के दर्शन हों तो सौभाग्यशाली माना गया है और यदि सूखे कीचड़ में सूअर के दर्शन हों तो यह विघ्नकारी होता है।
सांप जानवरों के शकुन:
शकुन के लिए इसके दर्शन भी दुखदायी माने गये हैं। दाहिने पार्श्व में काले सर्प के दर्शन ही शुभ माने जाते हैं।
चींटियां जानवरों के शकुन:
चीटियों के बारे में सभी देशों में सामान्य तौर पर यह माना जाता है कि यदि ऊपर से चलो तो वर्षा होती है और वास्तव में चीटियां खराब मौसम का अपशकुन होती हैं। जब भी उनको अपने अंडे लिए हुए किसी अधिक सुरक्षित जगह जाते हुए देखा जाता है तो निश्चित रूप से खराब मौसम आता है। यह भी माना जाता है कि उनकी किसी कालोनी को नष्ट करना बुरे भाग्य को आमन्त्रित करने वाला होता है। जबकि यदि चीटियां आपके दरवाजे के पास अपना ठीकाना बनाएं तो यह आपको समृद्धि और सुरक्षा प्रदान करता है। आश्चर्यजनक धारणा यह है कि चीटियां कभी सोती नहीं हैं और यदि इनके अंडों को शहद में मिलाकर खाया जाये तो प्रेमियों के लिए बहुत मददगार सिद्ध होता है।
रीछ जानवरों के शकुन:
अमेरिका के लकड़हारों में यह धारणा है कि रीछ सात साल में एक बार बच्चे को जन्म देता है और जब ऐसा होता है तो जंगल के वातावरण में बहुत अफरा-तफरी फैलती है। आस-पास के कुछ बछड़े कम उम्र में मर जाते हैं। यही लोग ऐसा भी मानते हैं कि यदि किसी बच्चे को काली खांसी हो रही हो और उसे रीछ की पीठ पर बिठा दिया जाये तो यह ठीक हो जाती है, लेकिन इसमें उसकी मृत्यु का डर भी रहता है। इसलिए लोग इस बात को अम्ल में नहीं लाते हैं।
काली बिल्ली जानवरों के शकुन:
काली बिल्ली के विषय में सबसे अधिक प्रचलित धारणा यह है कि यदि काली बिल्ली आपका रास्ता काट जाये तो यह अपशकुन होता है, लेकिन यूरोप में इसको अच्छा शकुन मानते हैं। यहां तक कि इतिहास में इस तरह के प्रमाण मिलते हैं कि कुछ लोगों ने किसी यात्रा पर जाते समय दुर्भाग्य से बचने के लिए काली बिल्ली को पकड़ा और रास्ता कटवाया। सामने से रास्ता काटने के सिवाय ऐसा भी माना जाता है कि यदि काली बिल्ली आपके घर में आती हो तो यह अच्छे भाग्य का द्दोतक है और जाहिर है इस बिल्ली को मारना अत्यन्त अशुभ माना जाता है।
इस बिल्ली में अनेक बिमारियों को ठीक करने की शक्ति बताई जाती है और कहा जाता है कि इसकी पूंछ का थोड़ा सा खून किसी घाव पर लगा दिया जाये तो वह ठीक हो जाता है। दुनिया के आदिम इलाकों में काली बिल्ली का इस्तेमाल देवता को खुश करने के लिए किया जाता है। यह आश्चर्य का ही विषय है कि काली बिल्ली बहुत महंगी बिकती है और अनेक रईस लोग इसके अधिक से अधिक दाम देकर खरीदना चाहते हैं। जानवरों के शकुन
ऐसा माना जाता है कि जो बिल्ली सम्पूर्ण रूप से काली होती है, उसमें अनेक ऐसी शक्तियां होती हैं, जो अनेक प्रकार से परिवारों के लिए लाभदायक सिद्ध होती हैं, लेकिन उसके शरीर पर एक भी बाल सफेद नहीं होना चाहिए। ये धारणा सम्भवत: प्राचीन काल के मिश्र के निवासियों द्वारा दी हुई है जो सामान्य तौर पर बिल्लियों का बहुत सम्मान करते थे, क्योंकि उनकी एक देवी काली बिल्ली थी। इस प्रकार के अनेक धारणाएं बिल्ली से जुडी हैं।
