Shakun Apshakun/शकुन अपशकुन: Actors, actresses, people concerned with films are more orthodox than that of other people. It is because their future depends on the choice of the spectators. These people usually are under contract with a company or they mostly live under the influence of a celebrity. Hence they are mostly afraid of their career which may spoil their future. They never accept their dressing room numbered 13. Moreover they also do not like the presence of any person there. They are afraid that seeing the reflection of two people in the mirror may disturb his balance. It is also said that all the jewellery used in the production should be imitation jewellery, otherwise the show may flop. On the first day one should not praise the actor, It may anger the coincidence controlling god. It is a practice to say that in good wishes you speak that the actor’s leg to be broken.
No theatre should start on Fridays. It may cause the failure of the company (Shakun Apshakun). It is believed in Europe that Macbeth of Shakespeare is most unfortunate drama. The songs of this drama are of sorcery and hence evil spirits can harm the actors.
It is said that only a foolish can hum the songs of this drama during rehearsal. It is also said that Robin Hood and ‘The bates in the Wooten’ are very ominous dramas, whereas Cinderella is a fortunate drama. If any actor wants to meet the manager before the drams starts, it will be a flop.

शकुन अपशकुन: अभिनेता और अभिनेत्री तथा फिल्म या थियेटर से जुड़े लोग अन्य लोगों के मुकाबले अधिक अंधविश्वासी होते हैं। इसका एक कारण शायद यह है कि उनका भविष्य उनके दर्शकों की डांवाडोल रुचियों पर निर्भर करता है। इस क्षेत्र के लोग या तो किसी एक ही कम्पनी से जुड़े रहते हैं या सालों-साल किसी एक विशेष व्यक्ति के साथ रहना पसंद करते हैं। इसलिए उनको इस बात का भय बना रहता है कि किसी भी अपशकुन से उनका भविष्य चौपट हो सकता है।
ड्रेसिंग रूम में घुसते ही इनके मस्तिष्क पर अपशकुन छाए रहते हैं, इसलिए किसी भी ड्रेसिंग रूम का नम्बर 13 नहीं होता। यहां तक की जब ये मेकअप कर रहे होते हैं तो किसी और आदमी की उपस्थिति पसंद नहीं करते। इनको यह आशंका रहती है कि दर्पण में दो चेहरे दिखाई दें तो इनका मानसिक संतुलन बिगड़ सकता है। ये यह भी मानते हैं कि इनके मेकअप बॅाक्स नृत्य के कार्यक्रम में जाने से पहले बिखर जाए तो यह अच्छा शकुन माना जाता है।

एक अपशकुन यह माना जाता है कि यदि किसी के पैर से जूतों की जोड़ी टकरा जाए तो यह अच्छा शकुन होता है और अगर किसी की ठोकर से दोनों जूते जमीन पर सीधे रुकें तो अच्छा शकुन है और अगर उल्ट जाएं तो दुर्भाग्य का द्दोतक है। कोई भी कलाकार ड्रेसिंग रूम में कुर्सी पर जूते रखना पसंद नहीं करता। ऐसा माना जाता है कि ड्रेसिंग रूम के बाहर निकलते हुए बायां पैर पहले आगे बढ़ाना चाहिए।
ऐसा भी जाना जाता है कि यदि मंच पर जाते हुए जूते आवाज करें तो इस फिल्म या नाटक को सफलता प्राप्त होगी। यदि मंच पर पहली एन्टरी के समय पर कोई कलाकार लड़खड़ा जाए तो माना जाता है कि वह उस दिन कोई एक ‘क्यू’ छोड़ने के लिए बाध्य होगा। ऐसी स्थिति में यदि वह तत्काल अपना कदम पीछे हटाकर नए सिरे से एन्टरी ले तो चीजें सुधर सकती हैं। इसी तरह यदि कलाकार कोई नाटक करते हुए गिर जाए तो यह माना जाता है कि उसे इसी थियेटर में दोबारा अवसर मिलेगा।
जहां तक पोशाक का सवाल है, मोर के पंख कभी नहीं पहनने चाहिए। यह विनाश का द्दोतक होता है। यहां तक कि यदि किसी और ने मोर के पंख लगा रखे हों या दर्शकों में से भी कोई मोर के पंख अपनी पोशाक पर लगाकार आए तो अपशकुन माना जाता है। अमेरिका में तो मोर की तस्वीर लगाना भी ड्रेसिंग रूम में अपशकुन माना जाता है। ड्रेसिंग रूम में केवल बनावटी फूल इस्तेमाल होने चाहिए और जहां तक हो सके पीले रंग से बचना चाहिए क्योंकि पीला रंग ‘फूट लाईट्स’ के प्रकाश का रंग बदल देता है।
कुल मिलाकर धारणा यह है कि किसी भी ‘प्रोडक्शन’ में इस्तेमाल होने वाले जेवरात नकली होने चाहिए नहीं तो वह प्रयास असफल हो सकता है। नाटक के पहले दिन किसी भी कलाकार को शुभकामना नहीं देनी चाहिए, नहीं तो संयोग के देवता नाराज हो सकते हैं। शुभ कामना का एक विशिष्ट तरीका यह है कि कहा जाए कि खुदा करे तुम्हारी टांग टूट जाए।- शकुन अपशकुन
कोई भी नाटक शुक्रवार को आरम्भ नहीं होना चाहिए। नहीं तो वह कम्पनी ही फेल हो सकती है। इसलिए पुरे यूरोप में यह माना जाता है, कि शेक्सपीयर का नाटक ‘मैकबैथ’ दुनिया का सबसे अधिक दुर्भाग्यशाली नाटक है, क्योंकि इसमें जादुगरियों का गीत गाया जाता है, जिससे शैतानी शक्तियां पनपती हैं और नाटक के कलाकारों का अहित कर सकती हैं। ऐसा भी माना जाता है कि कोई बहुत ही बेवकूफ अभिनेता किसी नाटक की रिहर्सल के समय उसके संगीत को गुनगुनायेगा।
एक मनोरंजक तथ्य यह है कि ‘रोबिन हुड’ और ‘द बेटस इन द वूटे’ बहुत अपशकुनी मौन नाटक हैं। जबकि ‘सिन्ड्रेला’ अत्यन्त भाग्यशाली नाटक है। यदि कोई कलाकार नाटक से पहले थियेटर के मैनेजर से मिलना चाहे और वह गलत दरवाजा खोल दे तो उसकी असफलता निश्चित मानी जाएगी।
यूरोप के कुछ देशों में एक मान्यता यह भी है कि यदि कोई अभिनेता कुछ मुश्किल लाइनें याद करना चाहता है तो उसे पांडुलिपि या पुस्तक जिसमें वे लाइनें हैं, अपने तकिए के नीचे रखकर सोना चाहिए। जब वह अभिनेता जागेगा तो उसे वे लाइन याद हो जाएंगी।
दमा शकुन अपशकुन:
दमे के बारे में सौलहवीं शताब्दी में ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में यह धारणा थी, कि बिल्ली के कच्चे गोश्त को खाने से दमा ठीक हो जाता है। यदि इस तरह गोश्त खाना रास न आता हो तो पन्द्रह दिन तक उबली हुई गाजरों का भोजन करने से उतना ही असर होता है।
अन्तरिक्ष यात्री शकुन अपशकुन:
आदमी की हाल की तकनीकी उपलब्धि यानि की अन्तरिक्ष यात्रा के समय भी कुछ धारणा जुड़ गयी हैं। कुछ परम्परागत अपशकुनी रंगों से अन्तरिक्ष यात्री को बचाया जाता है। जो इन यात्राओं में हिस्सा लेते हैं, निश्चित रूप से यह विश्वास करते हैं कि अभ्यास के समय कुछ हिचकियां, कुछ गलत मिशन की सफलता की द्दोतक होती है। इसी तरह का कुछ विश्वास अभिनेता लोग भी मानते हैं। हाल के मौसम के कुछ परिवर्तन इन धारणाओं से जुड़ें हैं, कि आदमी ने आकाश की सत्ता को चुनौती दी है इसलिए उसको अनेक विध्वंस सहन करने पड़ते हैं। अपोलो 13 मिशन के भयानक विध्वंस को दिमाग में रखते हुए लोगों में इस तरह की धारणा फैली हैं।

यूरोप के सभी देशों में जहां इतिहास के अनुसार जादूगरी की प्रथा विद्दमान थी, ऐसा माना जाता रहा है कि यदि कोई चौपाया कुल्हाड़ी पर से टाप जाए और इस तरह पहली बार वसन्त के मौसम में घास चरने जाए तो निश्चित रूप से शैतानी जादू का शिकार होता है। यदि कोई कुल्हाड़ी को घर में ले जाए तो परिवार में मृत्यु होती है। अमेरिका में यह धारणा बहुत प्रचारित है, हो सकता है कि यह स्काटलैंड की एक प्रथा में से आता हो। वहां यह माना जाता है कि फावड़े को घर में ले जाना बहुत अपशकुनी होता है, क्योंकि केवल कब्र खोदने वाले ही फावड़ा रखते हैं। इसका अर्थ है वे मृत्यु के वाहक हैं।
गंजापन शकुन अपशकुन:
बहुत से लोग गंजेपन को श्राप मानते हैं। एक पुराने ब्रिटिश धारणा के अनुसार इसका इलाज तो हो सकता है पर यह इलाज काफी दु:खदायी होता है। ‘घूस’ के गोबर को काफी मात्रा में सिर के गंज टुकड़े पर रगड़ना होता है, तब कहते हैं कि गंजापन ठीक हो सकता है, लेकिन लोग इसके बजाए एक दूसरी धारणा के अनुसार जब चांद उतार पर हो तो कभी अपने बाल नहीं काटने चाहिए क्योंकि ऐसा करने से बाल महीन हो जाएंगे और झड़ जाएंगे।
पलंग शकुन अपशकुन:
पलंग को लेकर अनेक धारणा प्रचारित हैं। ऐसा माना जाता है कि सुबह सोकर उठकर यदि गलत दिशा में उतरे तो आपका पूरा दिन खराब बीतेगा। गलत दिशा का अर्थ बायीं तरफ उतरना है, क्योंकि बाएं का संबंध शैतान से माना जाता है। ऐसा कहा जाता है कि शैतान ईश्वर के बायीं तरफ बैठता था, स्वर्ग से निकाले जाने से पहले। इस अपशकुन से बचने का एक तरीका भी बताया जाता है कि कपड़े पहनने के समय आप दायां जूता और दायीं जुराब पहले पहने। कुछ लोग ऐसा भी मानते हैं कि दुर्भाग्य के आने का एक कारण यह भी होता है कि जिस तरफ से आप पलंग पर चढ़े हों उससे उल्टी तरफ से आप पलंग से उतरे।
ऐसा भी माना जाता है कि दो व्यक्तियों से अधिक को बिस्तर नहीं लगाना चाहिए, नहीं तो निश्चय ही परिवार में किसी की मृत्यु हो सकती है। इन सब धारणाओं के प्रभाव से बचने का एक तरीका यह भी बताया गया है कि बिस्तरे के सिरहाने दो बाल्टी ताजे पानी की रोजाना रखी जायें। यह भी कहा जाता है कि उबले हुए ठंडे पानी को इस काम के लिए प्रयुक्त न किया जाये, क्योंकि इससे शैतान रुष्ट हो सकता है। रात को पास से गुजरने के समय शैतान की नजर इस पर पड़ सकती है और वह आपका नुकसान कर सकता है।
ऐसा भी माना जाता है कि यदि कोई मेहमान कमरे में ठहरा हो तो उसके जाने के एक घंटा बाद तक कमरा साफ नहीं करना चाहिए। इसमें दुर्भाग्य की बात यह मानी जाती है कि वही मेहमान लौटकर आ सकता है। मजाक के तौर पर ऐसा भी मानते हैं कि सोने से पहले पलंग के नीचे झांक लेना चाहिए। ऐसा कहते हैं कि शैतान अगर पलंग के नीचे छिपा हो तो ऐसा करने से भाग जाता है। यूरोप में घरेलू औरतें विश्वास करती हैं कि पलंग की दिशा पूर्व-पश्चिम होनी चाहिए, क्योंकि यही सूर्य की यात्रा का पथ है।
