How to Install Dhumavati Yantra?

On Navratri, Holi, Shivratri, eclipse or any Saturday, after taking bath etc., sit on a black woolen mat between 9:30 pm to 11 pm facing the west or the direction in which your temple is facing. Place the idol of Maa Durga in the temple or on your black cloth. Make a triangle in a plate in front of the idol. Fill it with black mustard seeds, place the Dhumavati Yantra on it.

Light a lamp of pure ghee in front of the yantra. Remember the 8 powers of Maa Dhumavati. Apply a tilak of kajal 8 times while reciting the Dhumavati mantra. Worship with red oleander flowers, fruits, flowers and sweets. After this, chant the following mantra 8 Mala with Dhumavati Rosary or do it according to your sadhana.

नवरात्रि, होली, शिवरात्रि, ग्रहण या किसी भी शनिवार को स्नान आदि करके रात्रि के समय 9:30 बजे से 11 बजे के बीच, काले ऊनि आसन पर पश्चिम दिशा की तरफ मुख करके या फिर आपका मंदिर जिस दिशा की तरफ हो, उस दिशा की ओर मुह करके बैठ जाए, मंदिर में या अपने काले वस्त्र पर, माँ दुर्गा की मूर्ति रखें, मूर्ति के सामने एक थाली में त्रिकोण बनाकर। उसमें काली सरसों भर दे, उस पर धूमावती यंत्र को स्थापित करें, यंत्र के सामने शुद्ध घी का दीपक जलाकर, यन्त्र पर माँ धूमावती की 8 शक्तिओं को स्मरण कर, धूमावती मन्त्र बोलते हुए 8 बार काजल का टीका लगायें, लाल कनेर के पुष्प, फल-फूल-मिठाई से पूजन करें, इसके बाद निम्नलिखित मन्त्र का 8 माला का जाप धूमावती माला से करें या अपनी साधना के अनुसार करे।
