Blowing Conch/Blowing Puja Shankh (बजाने वाला शंख): In Hindi the word Shankha means pacifying the malefic and inauspicious effects in the atmosphere. Hence before the Puja and Havan this conch is blown to make the atmosphere virtuous and providential and during the establishment of deity and idols, it is also blown. The Blowing Conch has a significant role in Hindu religious activities. As per the legend it is believed that the Conch has emerged from the churning of the seas, alias Samudra Manthan.
