Mahakaal Samhita Book (महाकाल संहिता पुस्तक) is an important Tantric text of Hinduism, primarily associated with the worship of Mahakala, the fierce form of Shiva. It is a collection of mantras, rituals and sadhanas related to Tantra and Shaivism. This book is considered to be the foundation of various Tantric traditions and is consulted for spiritual practices and esoteric knowledge. It contains a wonderful description of the left-way worship of Kali. This Agam text is probably divided into nine parts.

The present Kamakala-Kalikhand describes the nine Kalis – Dakshinakali, Bhadrakali, Shmashanakali, Kalakali, Guhyakali, Kamakalakali, Dhanakali, Siddhikali, Chandakali. This book provides detailed instructions about rituals, mantras and yagnas (Sacrificial rituals) to invoke the divine presence of Mahakala and Kali. The book explores deep philosophical concepts relating to the nature of time, space and existence, and presents Mahakaal as the embodiment of cosmic truth beyond the limits of time.
